I Need an Experienced Family Law Paralegal with Domestic Violence Expertise

I am a family law attorney with a firm dedicated solely to survivors of intimate partner abuse. I am looking for an Experienced Family Law Paralegal with Domestic Violence Expertise. Must be passionate about the mission!
About the firm and myself: Dr. Alicia Journey is an attorney who is a member of both the California State Bar and the United States Supreme Court Bar. She is also a certified coach. She graduated from the prestigious Pepperdine School of Law in 2009 with her Juris Doctorate. In the same year, she received a degree in Dispute Resolution from the world-renowned Strauss Institute in Dispute Resolution. Alicia also has her Ph.D. in Metaphysical Sciences.
During law school, she worked at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in their Criminal Division focusing on sexual crimes again children. She was a prosecutor for the Riverside District Attorney’s office specializing in Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Child Abuse and Elder Abuse and tried 34 trials from misdemeanors to three-strike prison cases and attempted murders. She spent time training law enforcement on investigating these crimes.
After leaving the District Attorney’s office she opened her own law practice, focusing on those impacted by intimate partner abuse. She lives in Santa Barbara, California with her two beautiful children and two adorable kitties.
Alicia is a survivor herself of intimate partner abuse and sexual assault. Due to her experiences both personally and professionally she started a company servicing this demographic called Beyond the Bruises. The company's mission is to create a one-stop shop for resources and assigns a team of professionals that will walk alongside survivors as they go through the process of healing to becoming self-empowered individuals who understand and operate in life with the understanding that what happened to them does not define them. She is dedicated to equality and social justice.

It’s so nice to meet you! I’m Dr. Alicia J. Journey, Esq. I specialize in Intimate Partner Abuse. My concentration is Domestic Violence Restraining Orders, both obtaining and defending, Divorce, Custody, Visitation, Financial Reallocation, Child Support, and Alimony.
Due to the complexities surrounding domestic violence or intimate partner abuse, I am personally dedicated to walking each client through the process in the most gentle and efficient way possible. I know firsthand how overwhelming the process can be and I am committed to taking as much pressure off of the victim so they can concentrate on what is truly important, which is healing. Most victims stay in abusive situations due to feeling stuck, frozen, or hopeless. I simplify the process and personally support each client as they navigate this necessary but potentially overwhelming journey.
Another reason victims stay is that there are financial concerns and/or children are involved. These are not hurdles that cannot be overcome. It’s my mission to provide stability for every victim by protecting their legal rights and making sure they get what is legally theirs.
When children are involved it can seem like you'll never get away from your abuser. But the law protects the victim and their children. That is what I fight to do; help you get the legal protection and financial stability you need.
