Misdemeanor Assault Legal Defense Needed
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm seeking an experienced lawyer specializing in criminal defense to represent me in a misdemeanor assault case.

I need help, preferably with a lawyer. Over a year ago I was charged with smacking my oldest son. At the time I had little money and actually due to my arrest I was fired from my job which in turn put my house into Jeopardy. So I really had no choice but to go with the public defender. Over time lawyers kept dragging my case along. Making appointments then changing them, not being available ect. The whole time I was practically begging to go to trial asap. I wanted to see my kids. But they kept Giving me the run around, and at times it seemed the judge was employing cheap tricks to get me to plead guilty, Then when I refused, I was threatened with upgraded charges, my own lawyer threatened to upgrade the charges to a felony, not the state's attorney! This is a misdemeanor case btw. It almost seemed I was being retaliated against for not going with their plea bargain. Eventually I got sick of the pointless run around and my lawyers having still not asked me about the details of my case so I requested to fire my lawyer(in court) and act as my own lawyer because my guy was(is) not even trying plus he was obviously partial against me. It was denied I act as my own lawyer and the case continued. This whole time I have not been allowed to see my kids, over a year now .Its been a nightmare. I am sick without them and I have no doubt they miss me equally. Mind you I am totally innocent and I am more than confident I can prove it with ease. But that is where I need help. I am worried that I will not get to plead my case in court fully or at all, to tell my side of the story due to my sub-par attorney and a judge who wont let me speak in court freely. In fact, he often interrupts and doesn't allow me to communicate with him in court because "Im not an attorney". All I ask is my chance to speak freely in court to explain how I did not do this,and also to present my evidence in court which Im not so sure my lawyer will,Im not even sure he has it. It has been well over a year and he or no one in the public attorneys office has the detail of my case. What is strange to me is after I managed to get a new part time job, I called a few local lawyers and no one is willing to take my case. Maybe because it is too complicated or there is no money to be made this late in the game. I cannot say but I do live in a small town in the middle of nowhere. But anyway, How can I prove my innocence from the witness stand? Can anyone help me? Maybe just for advice, Ill take any help I can get. I cant believe I have to beg for justice. Maybe someone can assist me via video chat? Help me see my kids...please!
