Legal Research - Australia - Tort Cases - Personal Injury - Intimate Assault
Budget: $10 – $30 AUD
Please research Australian civil cases in relation to damages awards where a woman was sexually assaulted.
I would like to receive:
A table of cases, setting out case name (formal citation), jurisdiction, short summary of facts and breakdown of damages awards (component for hurt and suffering / economic loss etc).
Please also provide PDF copies of all cases identified.
The most relevant cases will be cases where the defendant is an individual who engaged in the abuse against the plaintiff.
I would like to receive at least five relevant Australian cases.
Most relevant cases will be from Western Australia, for civil tort actions for personal injury / tort of assault / tort of battery.
Other relevant cases will be from: Commonwealth of Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland.
I am only interested in Australian cases.
Please also provide a short summary of findings, including: range of quantum of damages in cases reviewed, any other observations identified in research, any comon themes / legal findings, any comments on Brigenshaw standard or burden of proof etc.
I have attached the template table for reference - including one case I have found.
The Lawrence case is about historic abuse, and the defendant was the employer of the abusers.
(Lawrence is not the best example - because the best examples are cases where the defendant is an individual who engaged in the abuse against the plaintiff.)
