Legal Consultant for GDPR Compliance in Gay Dating App
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
About the Project:
We are Safado, a new dating app specifically designed for the gay community across Europe and globally. As a startup, we are committed to providing a safe and engaging platform for our users. To ensure we build our business on a solid legal foundation, we are looking for an experienced freelance legal consultant to help us comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other global privacy laws right from the start.
Scope of Work:
We are seeking a freelance legal expert to assist with the following:
Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA):
Conduct a DPIA to assess our planned data processing activities.
Identify any potential privacy risks associated with data collection, handling, and storage.
Provide actionable recommendations to mitigate these risks and ensure GDPR compliance.
Draft a GDPR-Compliant Privacy Policy:
Develop a privacy policy tailored to our app that meets GDPR standards.
Ensure the policy is clear, understandable, and covers all necessary aspects such as data collection, processing, storage, international transfers, user rights, and consent.
Create Terms of Service (ToS):
Draft comprehensive terms of service for Safado users.
Include essential clauses on user behavior, data protection, liability, dispute resolution, and other key legal considerations.
Ensure alignment with GDPR and any other applicable laws.
Provide Ongoing Legal Advice:
Offer guidance on maintaining GDPR compliance as the app grows and evolves.
Advise on any relevant legal updates and best practices in data privacy.
Requirements:
Legal qualifications with a focus on data protection and privacy law.
Experience in GDPR compliance and drafting legal documents for tech startups or apps, particularly in the dating or social networking sectors.
Familiarity with international data protection regulations, particularly within the European Union.
Strong communication skills to convey complex legal concepts in an accessible way.
Experience with privacy issues specific to dating apps or LGBTQ+ platforms is a plus.
Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality legal advice tailored to a startup environment.
What We Offer:
Flexible, remote working arrangements.
Competitive compensation based on project scope and complexity.
Opportunity to work with a new and innovative project with global reach.
We are looking for professionals who can offer us a competitive rate given that we are a startup just beginning our journey. There is a strong potential for continued collaboration and partnership as we grow.
