Design Patent Infringement Resolution, Illinois -- 2
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
On April 16th, I received a warning on my Amazon seller account indicating potential patent infringement related to a listing that I had recently joined as a merchant for dropshipping. The listing in question was unlisted from June 2023 to 13 April 2024 and on 14th April "me too" listing offer was activated. On 16th April got a warning from Amazon for patent infringement, upon learning about the potential infringement, I immediately on 16th April deleted the listing and submitted an explanation to Amazon, stating that as a new seller, I was unaware of the violation and took prompt action to rectify the situation.
Subsequently, Amazon removed the warning from my seller account, and I believed the issue had been resolved. However, on April 26th, I received an email from the United States District Court about a lawsuit filed by XXX for patent infringement. The court instructed me to hire a lawyer and submit my response within 21 days.
As a small seller, I am deeply troubled by this legal challenge and feel overwhelmed by the prospect of navigating it alone.
Experience in similar cases is highly valued.
