CPA Expert Witness Tax Report
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
I need independent expert witness in a legal matter currently before the court in British Columbia.
The case involves a dispute regarding the administration of a deceased's estate and the professional standard of care related to tax communications. Specifically, I am seeking a qualified Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) to provide a written opinion on whether the Defendants' representations regarding CRA tax withholdings met the expected professional standards.
Key Details:
Matter: Woodard v. Cathy Clark and Clark Robinson CPA’s
Core Issue: Accuracy of communications regarding estate tax requirements and the resulting delay in fund disbursements.
Deadline: The final expert report must be served by June 5, 2026, but I would like to have it by April 6 to review.
Role: Provide an objective, independent opinion to the Court regarding the standard of care for accountants in British Columbia.
I have prepared a formal Letter of Instruction detailing the specific questions and background facts of the case. Please let me know if you have the capacity to take on this engagement and if you have any conflicts of interest regarding the "Clark Robinson" firm or the defendants mentioned.
If you are available, I would appreciate a brief overview of your experience with similar matters and a summary of your fee structure for reviewing documents and preparing a formal report.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
