I'm seeking a freelance legal expert (preferably UK-based or familiar with UK/EU law) to assist with a digital intellectual property and business dispute involving a Minecraft server.
Here’s a summary of the situation:
A minor (17 y/o And from Belgium but has UK Citzenship) created and managed a Minecraft server that was earning approx. $3,000/month.
He brought on a partner (also 17 y/o, based in Ireland), who later:
Removed all the server files and backups
Nuked the discord and advertised his new discord
Bought a similar domain (.com instead of .net)
Migrated all server files and users to his own host
Used the same branding and name
The new version of the server is now earning over $5,000/month.
We have chat logs, receipts, PayPal transactions, and direct messages proving admission of wrongdoing (statements like “I beamed your server”).
What we need help with:
Drafting a memo & demand letter. memo outlining potential claims (IP infringement, misappropriation, conversion, unfair competition, etc.)
Drafting a demand letter
Advising on steps toward injunctive relief or recovery of assets and revenue
Guidance on involving guardians (since both are minors)
Any cross-border legal insight that may apply
