Bankruptcy Attorney
Budget: $75 – $125 USD
Seeking legal drafting and consultation on possible courses of action. I am a creditor with over $20,000 in claims against an individual debtor who lives in NYC who also owes significant amounts to other creditors, including his landlord ($180,000 in rent owed). The debtor is insolvent but I suspect has significant assets that have been hidden while he has not been paying creditors. I am worried the debtor will cut a deal with the landlord (the largest creditor) leaving me and other creditors with no recovery.
I need assistance and thoughts on (a) potential available courses of action, (b) feasibility of an involuntary bankruptcy action and (c) how to best pursue my claims. Assignment would include drafting documents for me to file as a pro se creditor with unpaid claims.
This does not have to be legal representation. But the assginment would possibly include preparing drafts of the bankruptcy petition and related documents. I would like to discuss options in pursuing my claims against the debtor and if I could make motions to compel disclosure and investigation into the debtor’s finances, as I believe he has been hiding assets and redirecting substantial support income received each month.
All parties and actions in NY State (NYC specifically) and the case would be filed in Manhattan.
