Amazon Theift

Job ID: 35519424

Budget: $100 – $5,000 USD

I was given three gift cards through Amazon during the month of December, 2022. I purchased a variety of items utilizing my PRIME account. I do not drive as I am disabled which is my largest reason for choosing Amazon Prime as they have NEVER charged for return pick-ups in the past and I am unable to transport them to their drop off point.
When I was filling out the return form, December 13th, 2022 they quoted a ridiculous return fee if item was to be picked up at home address. I immediately contacted Amazon's Customer Service. I explained to the 1st attendant that I had very little phone time available and was worried my call would be dropped. I asked for a supervisor immediately because I knew she wouldn't have the seniority to fix their financial blunder. Regardless I was on phone for over an hour with two different attendee's. The supervisor was very helpful and kind and admitted from the beginning of call they had made a grievance financial error. He admitted they had no right to remove money from my account and he returned the $35 overdraft fee and $29,+ and gave me a gift card credit of $100.00! He couldn't apologize any more and was extremely apologetic.
However, this does NOT fix my Evergy account set for disconnect!
I have no choice but to sue Amazon for the financial burden now imposed upon me through Evergy Electric.

I also had just received an Overdraft Notice from my bank in the amount of $35.00. Amazon took it upon themselves to charge my bank card almost $30.00 which was the difference between one of the gift cards balance and purchase amount.
This caused a financial domino affect resulting in my Evergy power bill being returned! Now Evergy is threatening to shut off my electricity and they charged my account $30.
I had a bill pay arrangement which made my monthly payments more manageable of $68 but now Evergy, states I don't qualify. the full balance which is almost $700 due by 12/29/22.
This is 2nd time they have overdrawn my account! They kept charging me for more than one account. Even though I made several one hour phone calls dating back through September 2022 and was assured they had fixed the multiple account issue.
