Suffolk Surrogate NYSCEF Paralegal

Job ID: 39847233

Budget: $25 – $50 USD

I’m handling a will-contest in Suffolk County Surrogate’s Court on a pro se basis and need reliable, remote paralegal support—immediately. The most urgent piece is getting every submission properly formatted and e-filed through NYSCEF, but I also want seamless help drafting, organizing, serving, and tracking all papers that flow from this litigation.

Scope of work
• Format and file all documents in NYSCEF, ensuring captions, exhibit labels, PDFs, and e-sig blocks comply with the court’s technical requirements.
• Draft and refine objections, affirmations, notices of appearance, proposed orders, service affidavits, and any follow-up papers that arise.
• Keep a live calendar of SCPA 1404 examinations, return dates, motion deadlines, and citation periods so nothing is missed.
• Handle service by mail, personal delivery, or “nail-and-mail” as required, then create the corresponding proofs for e-filing.

Acceptance criteria
1. Every filing is accepted by NYSCEF without correction notices.
2. Drafts arrive in editable Word and final, text-searchable PDF format.
3. Calendar reminders hit my inbox at least three business days before each deadline.
4. Proofs of service meet CPLR and Surrogate’s Court rules.

Please let me know:
• Your experience filing through NYSCEF for Suffolk Surrogate’s matters within the last year.
• Whether you regularly assist pro se litigants (not just attorneys).
• Hourly or flat rates and any minimum blocks you require.
• Your capacity to begin work this week.

I respond quickly and can provide immediate access to the existing case docket so we can start as soon as we agree on terms.
