Ontario Divisional Court Legal Secretary
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
I need reliable behind-the-scenes support from someone who already knows the Ontario Divisional Court playbook inside and out. Your main focus will be twofold: first, drafting and formatting motions, applications, and accompanying affidavits so they comply with the Rules of Civil Procedure and the Divisional Court’s practice directions; second, taking those materials through every step of the filing process—both electronically (Justice Services Online / CaseLines) and, when required, at the court counter.
You will not be expected to deal directly with clients, so all communication flows through me. What I do need is meticulous attention to detail, comfort with quick turnarounds, and complete familiarity with court-prescribed templates, back-sheets, and e-filing nomenclature.
Deliverables
• Motion or application record, affidavit(s), and any required supporting documents in court-ready PDF format
• Confirmation of successful filing, including court-stamped copies or electronic submission receipts
Work is episodic; when a file is ready, I will supply draft facts and exhibits, and you take it from raw material to filed record. If you already have licensed access to preferred tools like ACL, Divisional Court e-Checklists, or Nuance PDF for hyperlinking, all the better—please mention it.
