Effective Paralegal San Diego for filing Ineffective Assistance of Counsel In Pro Per Post Conviction
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I pled guilty to TWO counts of Arson and was sentenced on Aug 2nd, 2022. I was released from Chowchilla on Oct 19, 2022 after arriving there on Aug 24 (I took a deal of 2 years with 1/2 time.) My counsel, Mr. Caley Ryan Anderson, a public defender out of San Diego Central was was not only ineffective, he was obviously unaware and unwilling to learn the law. He first agreed to get me a Mental Health Diversion, then told me was in my best interest to move me from Behavioral Health Court to Criminal Court. I, unaware of his horrid counsel, agreed (also, I had been deemed incompetent the first 3 months) agreed to be moved thinking he knew what he was doing and ASSURED me I would NOT have to take a strike (I did.) Counsel Anderson's performance not only fell below an objective standard of reasonableness, he made false and misleading statements on more than 1 occasion. I NEVER would have agreed to the deal but had become so terrified of Counsel Anderson's continued blunder's and my being unable to access any legal advice other than his failings as my counsel. I took the deal to avoid going to trial, possibly losing, and getting 7 years. There was nothing MALICIOUS nor WILLFUL about what I did, I was frightened, confused, derelict, homeless and had been sexually assaulted the night before. Reckless Burn, okay, Arson, no. Can you help with paperwork? Thanks for your time. ~Rebecca DiMatteo [Removed by Admin for offsiting - TOC Section 13]
