Draft Response to Dismiss Motion
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have been served with a motion to dismiss in an ongoing civil matter and I must file a persuasive written response. No prior draft exists, so I need a fresh document built from the ground up that cites controlling authority, addresses each argument raised by opposing counsel, and complies with the relevant court rules.
Key dates
• First complete draft in my hands: 4–5 March
• Heads of argument (finalised version) filed: 10 March
Scope of work
– Analyse the complaint, the motion, and any accompanying memoranda I will supply.
– Research governing case law and statutes.
– Craft a clear, logically structured memorandum in proper civil-litigation format, including a table of authorities, statement of facts, and argument sections.
– Ensure citations follow standard Bluebook (or equivalent local) style and that page limits, margins, and font rules are respected.
– Provide a brief summary of changes with each revision.
Acceptance criteria
1. A polished motion-to-dismiss response ready for electronic filing by the evening of 5 March.
2. All legal arguments supported by pinpoint citations.
3. Document passes a quick‐check for spelling, grammar, and formatting compliance.
Strong performance here will open the door to additional drafting and research tasks on the same case.
