We are seeking a highly capable paralegal, legal researcher, or legally trained writer to assist in preparing a complex affidavit to be filed in ongoing Supreme Court proceedings.

This engagement requires a person with:

Essential Skills & Experience

Strong understanding of Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), directors’ duties, financial services obligations, and professional negligence principles

Proven experience drafting affidavits, court documents, or legal submissions

High-level written communication skills, with the ability to structure complex factual and legal material clearly, accurately and persuasively

Ability to interpret financial records, share-trading data, broker correspondence, and ASIC documents

Experience summarising and analysing expert reports, emails, trading logs, and documentary evidence

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in presenting facts and chronology

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive legal information

Desirable

Experience in commercial litigation, financial services disputes, or professional negligence cases

Prior work with barristers or litigation teams

Legal qualifications (LLB, JD) or advanced paralegal training

About the Engagement

The matter concerns alleged professional negligence in financial advice/stockbroking

Work involves reviewing extensive correspondence, timelines, exhibits and expert commentary

The affidavit will be reviewed and settled by counsel

Paid engagement; competitive rates offered depending on experience

Immediate commencement preferred
