Civil Attorney Needed for Counterclaim -- 2

Job ID: 40546079

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

For the past two years I have been defending myself in a civil action that, in my view, was built on allegations unsupported by fact or evidence. I have already filed a motion to set aside the dismissal that resulted from the plaintiff’s repeated delays. Now I want to go on the offensive with a counterclaim for intentional infliction of emotional distress and recover the monetary damages their conduct has caused me.

Here is where I need your help:

• Examine the entire case record—complaint, responses, discovery, the current motion, and all court orders—to confirm the procedural posture and spot any remaining deadlines.
• Draft and file a well-supported counterclaim grounded in personal-injury doctrine, specifically intentional emotional distress, detailing the harm and the compensable losses I have suffered.
• Develop a concise damages calculation and settlement position so we can push for meaningful monetary compensation.
• Represent or advise me through any required hearings, settlement conferences, or mediation sessions that follow the filing.

The jurisdiction is the same court where the initial suit was filed, and I can provide scanned PDFs of every pleading, deposition transcript, and exhibit to date. Strong familiarity with civil procedure, tort law, and motion practice will be essential.

If you have the bandwidth to step in quickly, review the file, and craft a persuasive counterclaim strategy, I would like to discuss your approach and expected timeline.

I also have an active probate case. I would like to include in the civil complaint that I was designated to handle the decedent’s final wishes. Since I was prevented from doing so, I am seeking to recover their remains as outlined in their healthcare directive.
