Your role is to draft, submit, and track those requests at both the state and federal level, navigating each jurisdiction’s rules, exemptions, and timelines until the responsive video files are in hand.
Here’s what I expect:
• Draft tailored FOIA/Public Records Act letters for every agency involved, citing the correct statutes and requesting the specific bodycam footage I list.
• File each request (email, portal, fax, or certified mail—whatever the agency requires) and supply proof of submission.
• Monitor statutory deadlines, send follow-ups, and escalate when necessary—including drafting administrative appeals if a request is denied or partially withheld.
• Deliver the footage or official responses to me securely, plus a short log summarizing dates, contacts, and outcomes for each request.
Acceptance criteria: every request must meet the formatting and fee-waiver standards of its jurisdiction, include clear identification of the incident, and generate a tracking number or acknowledgment from the agency within their customary timeframe.
