I have a set of legal documents that are currently in English and I need them professionally translated into French, then re-typed so the final files mirror the original layout. Accuracy in legal terminology is essential; the translated text must be faithful to the source while still reading naturally in French.
What I will provide
• Clear, high-resolution scans of the original contracts and annexes
• Any reference glossaries I already use for recurring clauses
What I expect back
• A clean, fully formatted French version of each document in Microsoft Word (editable)
• A matching, print-ready PDF for each file
• Consistent page breaks, numbering, headers, footers and signature blocks exactly where they appear in the English originals
Acceptance criteria
1. All clauses, exhibits and footnotes rendered into French with no omissions.
2. Legal terminology aligned with standard French civil-law usage; machine-like literal phrasing will be rejected.
3. Formatting fidelity: margins, fonts and spacing should let me overlay the French file on the English one and see elements line up.
