English-Tagalog Book Translation
Budget: €250 – €750 EUR
I have a 234-page non-fiction history book that now needs to reach a Tagalog-speaking audience without losing any of its nuance. The manuscript occasionally dives into legal terms woven through the historical narrative, so every statute reference, doctrine, and contextual note has to stay precise while sounding natural to Filipino readers.
Your task is to recreate the text in Tagalog, preserving the author’s tone, rhythm and storytelling flow. Fluency in both languages is essential, but I place equal weight on proven experience translating published works—if you have handled long-form history titles or legal-flavoured content before, all the better.
Deliverables
• A polished Tagalog translation of the entire 234-page manuscript, delivered in the original layout (Word or InDesign file—your preference).
• A short translator’s note flagging any passages where you had to localise legal concepts for clarity.
• One revision round after my editorial review.
