English/Spanish Contract to Italian
Budget: $2 – $8 AUD
I need a seasoned legal translator to turn a contract of more than 50 pages—written partly in English and partly in Spanish—into precise, natural-sounding Italian. Every article, clause number, heading, and reference must stay exactly where it is so the Italian version can be laid over the original without layout changes. Consistency in terminology is crucial, especially for recurring legal expressions and defined terms.
Because this is a binding agreement, I’m looking for someone who has handled contracts before and is comfortable navigating both common-law (English) and civil-law (Spanish) phrasings. If you normally work in SDL Trados, memoQ, Wordfast, or a comparable CAT tool, feel free to leverage your glossaries—just keep the final delivery clean and unlocked.
Deliverables & acceptance criteria:
• Complete Italian translation in an editable .docx file, mirroring the source formatting
• Terminology kept consistent across the entire document
• No machine-translation artifacts; language must read as if originally drafted in Italian
• A short translator’s note or glossary for any terms that required discretionary choices
• Confidentiality upheld throughout the project
Let me know your estimated turnaround time, any relevant credentials, and which CAT tools (if any) you plan to use.
