English–Arabic Legal Translation
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have a set of legal documents drafted in English that must be rendered flawlessly into Arabic. Because these files will be filed with official bodies, the translation has to be precise, faithful to legal terminology, and formatted identically to the originals.
Scope
• Translate the full text of each document from English to Arabic.
• Preserve all clauses, numbering, headers, footers, and page breaks so that the Arabic version mirrors the English layout.
• Proofread your own work before delivery to ensure it is free from spelling, grammar, or contextual errors.
• Deliver the final files in both editable Word format and PDF.
What I’m looking for
– Proven experience in document translation, specifically with contracts, agreements, or other legal paperwork.
– Full command of legal terminology in both English and Arabic.
– Familiarity with CAT tools such as SDL Trados, MemoQ, or Wordfast; terminology consistency is critical.
– Ability to keep all material strictly confidential—signing an NDA is required.
Nice-to-have, but not mandatory
If you’re comfortable creating bilingual terminology glossaries or performing an extra round of back-translation for verification, please mention it; I may add that step as the project evolves.
Timeline
I’d like to get the first batch (about 5,000 words) within one week, with subsequent files to follow. Let me know your realistic turnaround time per 1,000 words so we can plan the hand-off schedule together.
