CALIFORNIA PARALEGAL NEEDED – PLEADING FORMATTING & LEGAL DOCUMENT PREPARATION (PROJECT-BASED ONLY)

POSITION OVERVIEW

Seeking a highly skilled freelance paralegal to assist with formatting, revising, and preparing legal documents for filing in California courts.

Work will include civil and family law matters and will be assigned on a per-document basis only. No hourly work.

REQUIRED SKILLS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

You must be able to:

Format documents using California pleading paper (28-line format)
Properly apply:
Line numbering
Margins (including left margin for pleading paper)
Caption formatting (attorney-style layout)
Prepare and revise:
Civil complaints
Motions and declarations
Family law pleadings
Deliver documents that are:
Clean
Aligned
Court-ready
Free of formatting errors
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Converting rough drafts into filing-ready pleadings
Fixing broken formatting (Word issues, spacing, margins)
Revising documents while preserving original content
Ensuring compliance with California Rules of Court and local rules
PAY STRUCTURE (READ CAREFULLY)
Flat rate per document only
No hourly billing
You must provide pricing for:
Complaints
Motions
Declarations
Formatting corrections
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
