California Statute of Limitations on written month to month tenancy

Under the terms of the subject written lease, it became "a tenancy from month to month at a rental rate in the amount of last monthly rental..." When does the California statute of limitations start to run on each month-to-month tenancy? Is it 4 years from each monthly period? For example does the statute of limitations for June 2018 run in June 2022, for July 2018 in July 2022, for August 2018 in August 2022.
