I have a judgement from Hamilton county Ohio, in which my ex-tenant was found guilty of not paying back rent. I also then have a garnishment request of her employer, which is the state of Indiana. I filed it through Hamilton County ohio, to her employer and they claimed its not valid as its not filed in the state of Indiana and signed by an Indiana Judge per IC 34-54-11. I am now trying to find out how I get an Indiana Judge to sign off on that judgement. Per 34-54-11-1 (b) the clerk of the court in which the copy is filed shall treat the foreign judgement in the same manner as a judgement of an Indiana court.
