Small Claims Paralegal for Estate Dispute
Budget: $25 – $50 CAD
I am looking for a paralegal (freelancer) to assist me in my small claims court case in Markham, Toronto Canada. The case:
I am filing a case for small claims court. I need help labelling the documents, filling out the forms (especially 7a) and how to file. I am looking for someone to assist me. At this point, I don't know If I need a paralegal for court (depends on fees). The case: My brother and I are suing my sister and aunt for mismanagement of my mother's estate. There was no will, no probate and no one filed to become the executor. My sister just assumed the role of executor. She then purposely withheld the estate funds from me to extract money from me. When everything was paid out, there was enough money to pay me back but she gave it away. Then there was a life insurance policy that was in my sister's name but ONLY to for the funeral. The money remaining was to go to my brother. She ended up putting the life insurance money into the estate. By doing that, she ended up paying all our mother's bills instead of giving the extra money left to my brother (I legally know that adult children are not responsible for paying their parents' debts. Only the estate it). I have mountains of emails, voice recordings etc. It is far too overwhelming and I need help. I have printed out most of the 200+ but I still need help. I have in Markham, Ontario, Canada and would prefer to work done around this area. Thanks
