Recover Expired Domain Ownership
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I let a GoDaddy-registered domain lapse, and before I noticed someone else snapped it up and placed privacy protection on the WHOIS record. Every direct lookup now returns a proxy, so I can’t see who currently owns the name.
Here’s what I can give you up front: I still have every email and receipt from the original registration and renewals, so you will have full proof that I was the previous owner. I’m open to two possible routes—pinpointing and contacting the present holder for a friendly buy-back, and/or outlining any legal or policy-based steps (UDRP, trademark angle, GoDaddy support escalation, etc.) that could help me regain control.
What I need from you:
• A verified method to uncover or confirm the current owner’s real contact information, or a solid explanation of why that is impossible.
• Clear next-step guidance—either an outreach script/strategy for direct negotiation or a concise legal roadmap with expected costs and timelines.
• Any additional tips to prevent this situation in the future once I have the name back.
If you have experience with WHOIS privacy work-arounds, registrar negotiations, UDRP filings, or similar recoveries, I’d love to hear how you would approach this and what results you’ve achieved for past clients.
