Post-Conviction Relief & Damages Representation

I am ready to move forward with post-conviction action after discovering that my former attorney’s misrepresentations rendered my plea involuntary and violated my constitutional rights. My ultimate goal is to secure compensation for the damage this has caused while also overturning the unlawful conviction itself.

I need a licensed attorney who focuses on post-conviction and civil rights work to take charge of two parallel matters:
• A well-supported writ of habeas corpus challenging the conviction on ineffective assistance / breach of plea agreement grounds.
• A civil lawsuit for monetary damages arising from that same attorney misconduct.

Your role is full courtroom representation, not just advice or document drafting. All of my underlying cases were non-violent drug offenses; addiction, not violence, is at the core of my record.

Deliverables I expect:
1. Complete review of plea transcripts, court filings, and correspondence with prior counsel.
2. Drafting and filing the habeas petition in the appropriate court with all supporting exhibits.
3. Drafting and filing the civil complaint for damages, identifying proper defendants and causes of action.
4. Representation at any hearings, conferences, or oral arguments related to both matters.
5. Regular status updates so I understand progress and next steps.
