Junior Advocate / Legal Notice Drafter
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I run a young legal consultancy that handles a steady stream of day-to-day drafting work for banking clients and the occasional arbitration brief. Because the volume is growing faster than our in-house capacity, I’m looking for a junior advocate or final-year law student who can step in on a freelance, part-time basis and take ownership of our general legal drafting.
Your core task will be preparing legal notices and letters. I’ll share clear guidelines, past samples and the house style we follow, so you won’t be starting from a blank page. From time to time you may also help structure settlement letters for loan accounts, compile supporting documents for arbitration filings or run quick legal research to strengthen a notice before it is issued.
What I need in you: an LLB in hand (or about to finish it), a solid grasp of Indian legal drafting conventions and enough familiarity with banking terminology to spot issues quickly. Bar Council enrolment would be a plus, but it is not a deal-breaker. The work suits someone who wants flexible hours and consistent exposure to practical drafting while we grow; if we click, I can keep sending assignments month after month.
Deliverables I will review and approve on each engagement:
• A clean, well-formatted legal notice or letter that follows the shared guidelines
• Supporting citations or research notes where relevant
• A brief explanatory cover email highlighting any assumptions or open questions
