FDD Review & California Registration

Job ID: 40124463

Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD

I already have a complete Franchise Disclosure Document in hand and have used similar paperwork before, but I need a California-licensed franchise attorney to give it a thorough legal audit, tighten any loose language, align it with the current FTC Franchise Rule, and then shepherd the package through the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation for state registration.

Here’s what I’d like to walk away with:
• A red-lined version of my existing FDD showing every recommended change.
• A short memorandum (bullet points are fine) explaining the reasoning behind each material edit, especially any California-specific items.
• A clean, final FDD ready to issue to prospective franchisees.
• All forms, cover letters, consents, and exhibits filed with DFPI, plus confirmation of acceptance or clear next steps if the state issues comments.
• One brief follow-up call after submission to clarify any DFPI questions that may arise.

I am comfortable with the franchising process and only need targeted legal expertise, so please factor that in when estimating hours. Familiarity with NASAA guidelines, electronic filing portals, and California franchise regulations will be taken as a given. If you have capacity to start quickly and can provide an estimated turnaround time from engagement to filing, let me know—my goal is to be on the market as soon as DFPI approval comes through.
