Bank Freeze Lawyer Needed -- 3
Budget: ₹1,000 – ₹10,000 INR
Case Summary - Account Freeze Issue (Seeking Legal Representation)
Related Complaint: NCRP Complaint No. 30810250084918
Jurisdiction: Delhi Police - Special Cell (SB) IFSO
Banks Involved: Jio Payments Bank and Indian Bank
Background:
My Jio Payments Bank account was frozen around 26 October 2025 without any
prior notice or written intimation. When I contacted the bank, they informed me that the freeze was due to NCRP Complaint No. 30810250084918, allegedly originating from the Delhi Police Special Cell / Cyber Cell (IFSO).
The bank, however, has not provided any written order or document from Delhi Police directing such a freeze.
To confirm the facts, I personally spoke with ACP Prem Khanduri, Special Cell, Delhi Police. He categorically confirmed that no instruction or request was ever issued to Jio Payments Bank to
freeze my account.
Following this, I filed an RTI application to the Delhi Police to obtain official confirmation in writing. The RTI reply is still awaited.
Transaction Details:
The bank mentioned that the freeze was linked to a disputed transaction as per the NCRP
complaint, with the following details:
- Transaction ID: 560593775213
- Amount: Rs.5,000
- Date: 27 August 2025
The Rs.5,000 was credited to my Jio Payments Bank account without my knowledge or consent through what appears to be a fraudulent 7-day loan application I never applied for.
Indian Bank Account Holds:
I also have an Indian Bank account linked to the same NCRP complaint. Unlike Jio Payments Bank, Indian Bank did not freeze my entire account. Instead, they placed two lien holds of Rs.87.86 and Rs.35.76, allowing me to use the remaining balance normally.
This shows that different banks interpreted the same complaint differently, and that Jio Payments Bank's approach is arbitrary and disproportionate.
Current Situation:
Jio Payments Bank continues to keep my account completely frozen. They responded via email stating that the account will remain frozen until they receive a "No Objection Certificate (NOC)" or confirmation email from the Cyber Crime department that raised the complaint. This instruction is unreasonable, especially since the Delhi Police officer himself has confirmed no such freeze order was issued.
I am the sole earning member of my family, and this has caused severe financial distress. I am unable to access my funds to cover essential needs such as food, medicine, and bill payments.
What I Am Looking For:
I am seeking a lawyer experienced in cybercrime and financial fraud matters who can represent me
before the Delhi Police Special Cell (SB) / IFSO and assist with the following: Obtain details and current status of NCRP Complaint No. 30810250084918.
2. Coordinate with the concerned officers to confirm the basis and validity of the freeze.
3. Prepare and submit a formal representation requesting that only the disputed amount (Rs.5,000)
be held under lien and the rest of the funds be released.
4. Submit a written representation for account unfreezing to the concerned authorities.
5. Assist in obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) or written clearance so that Jio Payments Bank can unfreeze my account.
