Urgent Personal Injury Legal Document Assistance

I live in Iowa. Council Bluffs. I fell on the apartment premises where I rent. The fall was caused by an uneven sidewalk obscured by grass overgrowth. I went right over onto the left front of my head which caused a no bleed concussion. I went to urgent care who then, referred me to go to the hospital. I now have medical bills. I have missed days of work too. It took 13 days total for my head to feel somewhat normal again, but total of approximately 6 weeks to heal without noticeable issues; headaches subsided, not tired, being able to do my work in front of a computer work station, etc.

I notified the Apartment Management that I fell on the day of the incident-September 21, 2025 via phone. I was not contacted, so I sent an email. No contact. No incident report was taken. I then, followed up to get this information as well as insurance carrier, claim number, and who they talked to. Still nothing. I went into the office to obtain the information and was told that nothing was done and that I should have information from higher up-the office I was in is the headquarters. I sent another follow up email and recently a certified demand letter.

I do know how to draft all of this into a petition, then I have a compel with added retaliation. They did not offer a renew lease. My lease expires on January 29th, 2026. I have lived here since October 2023 with perfect rent history-all rent paid on or before the 1st of each month. Have proof.

Time is so important. I need this petition filed asap.
