Canvas LMS plugin for SCORM -- 2

We would like to develop a plugin for Canvas to implement SCORM files in courses.
We have the following library in mind:

But another implementation of SCORM could be used.
Canvas has a proprietary SCORM plugin, but we host the open source version of Canvas LMS on our own servers due to security limitations. It is possible to utilize SCORM in Canvas LMS, however it is not included in the version we have hosted.
