Adding Class to our Classes
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
The goal of the Workforce Institute goal is to strengthen training, supervision and coaching of direct service staff and supervisors at ACS and its many contracted provider agencies. In response to the increasingly complex nature of the work, the Workforce Institute uses a variety of training modalities including simulation to expand on skill development. Coaching for supervisors is as a priority to reinforce the transfer of learning and support critical thinking.
Most of our classes are currently being taught online using the Zoom platform. Zoom has been integrated with our LMS, Cornerstone. You have already taught the Instructors to use Zoom with the Cornerstone integration, as well as how to use the features within Zoom to keep the learners engaged, interacting and learning while using an online platform. Some of the current issues are that people are not staying present during class, or they aren’t learning all that they should in the class. You happen to see a demo for ‘Class’ for Zoom, and you know that this will create an even better learning environment for the instructors to teach online.
Your team, the Technology Management team, are the most technologically savvy people in the division. Your LMS Admin and Helpdesk staff completely agree that this is the best move. However, adding this product on to our budget will cost us. Your stakeholders, who are not tech savvy, will need convincing that this is worth the expense.
Please create a proposal to convince your stakeholders of the reasons to employ a new software/platform such as Class or propose a new solution altogether to help with the issues stated above.
