Digital Services - Principal Process Architect Lead

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Process Architect is a crucial role within the organization, tasked with analyzing, designing, and implementing the digitalization of effective business processes to drive operational excellence. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing industry best practices, and leveraging technology to enhance process efficiency and achieve business goals.
TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:
Build and maintain process architecture and road maps for digitization and improvement
Identify opportunities for automation, digitization, and technology integration to improve process efficiency.
Collaborate with Business and IT teams to implement technological solutions that enable and align with process enhancements
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions into the redesigned processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand current customer journeys, business processes and workflows.
Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in existing processes.
Design and propose optimized processes that align with business goals and objectives.
Use tools and methodologies such as process mapping, flowcharts, lean and six sigma methodologies to improve process performance
Facilitate Kaizen events, workshops, meetings, and discussions to design and drive process improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with various teams, departments, and stakeholders to gather input, feedback, and requirements.
Work closely with departments and teams across the organization to gather insights, requirements, and feedback for process improvements.
Develop and maintain a process measurement models and assess the impact of process changes, making adjustments as necessary.
Analyze data and metrics to measure process performance and identify opportunities for enhancement and digitization.
Develop and maintain an understanding of the pertinent regulatory requirements and risks inherent to job responsibilities, establish, and maintain control activities that mitigate those risks consistent with the Credit Union’s risk appetite, and ensure operational integrity and compliance with applicable regulations.
PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASK:
Effective oral and written communication skills required to evaluate staff, prepare, and present recommendations, perform analysis, and accomplish other managerial functions as required.
Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an on-line computer terminal and other standard office equipment, such as financial calculators, personal computer, facsimile machine, and telephone.
Required to be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in order to ensure timely and appropriate resolution of any issue that may arise regarding resources under scope of responsibility.
Required to carry a company-supplied mobile device for trouble and emergency notification purposes.
Required to respond and travel on short notice for possible extended periods of time in the event a company disaster is declared.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Management or related field. MBA is recommended
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of eight or more years experience as a Process Architect, Process Engineer, Business Process Consultant, or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of process modeling methodologies and process improvement concepts (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Familiarity with process automation and workflow management tools.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify process inefficiencies.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.
Strong understanding of process metrics and statistical analysis
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Relevant certifications in process improvement methodologies are a plus.
Proven project management skills and an ability to execute successfully on complex projects.
Confidence to advise senior leadership on the Digital Delivery process.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required.
Corrected vision within the normal range.
Hearing within normal range. A device to enhance hearing will be provided if needed.
Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.
Required to be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to ensure timely and appropriate resolution of any issue that may arise regarding resources under scope of responsibility.
Travel locally, statewide and throughout the United States. Overnight travel and evening schedules included.
