Outbound Sales Expert for Industrial Automation
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
SDR / Outbound Sales Specialist Needed to Build Pipeline for Conveyors and Standard Robotic Palletizing Systems
Project Description
WR Integrated is looking for an experienced SDR or outbound sales freelancer to help build a consistent sales pipeline for industrial conveyors and standard robotic palletizing systems.
We design and sell material handling and automation solutions for manufacturers, processors, and industrial facilities. Our immediate focus is creating two outbound sales engines: one for conveyor opportunities and one for standard robotic palletizing cells. Conveyors are our recurring cash-flow product, while palletizing cells create larger capital-project opportunities. Our internal sales target is 24 conveyor projects per year and 6 palletizer projects per year, representing approximately $3M in annual sales opportunity.
We need someone who can help us prospect, build lists, run outbound email and LinkedIn campaigns, follow up consistently, qualify interested prospects, and book sales calls with companies that have real equipment needs.
What We Sell
Conveyors
Typical opportunities include repairs, replacements, upgrades, sanitary conveyor design, plant layout changes, and downtime-driven equipment needs. Average project size is roughly $50k.
Standard Robotic Palletizing Cells
These are end-of-line automation systems focused on labor reduction, throughput, safety, consistency, and ROI for repetitive palletizing applications. Average project size is roughly $300k.
Target Customers
We want to prioritize companies with clear production pressure, obvious equipment usage, and enough operational pain to justify action. Ideal markets include:
Food and beverage processors
Frozen food, dairy, ingredients, and pet food manufacturers
Bagged or boxed product manufacturers
Seed, feed, chemical, and building material companies
High-volume production environments with repetitive end-of-line labor
Plants with operations, maintenance, engineering, or plant-management decision makers
Packaging vendors, controls firms, integrators, contractors, and referral partners
The best prospects have a real equipment need, operational pain, a reachable decision process, and some signal of budget or timeline.
Responsibilities
The SDR will be responsible for:
Building targeted prospect lists by industry, geography, company size, and equipment fit
Identifying decision makers and influencers, including plant managers, maintenance managers, operations leaders, engineering managers, and owners
Creating and running outbound campaigns for conveyors and palletizing systems
Sending personalized cold emails and LinkedIn messages
Following up with interested prospects
Qualifying opportunities based on need, timing, application, budget, decision process, and next step
Booking qualified sales calls
Maintaining a clean CRM or tracking sheet
Reporting weekly activity, replies, calls booked, qualified opportunities, and next steps
Helping test and improve messaging based on response data
Campaign Structure
We want to keep the two campaigns separate.
Conveyor campaign: focused on repairs, replacements, upgrades, quote-ready opportunities, downtime, and layout changes. Internal campaign math targets 800 emails/month, 40 positive replies, 28 sales calls, 14 qualified quotes, and 2 purchase orders per month.
Palletizer campaign: focused on ROI, labor reduction, throughput, safety, and repetitive end-of-line automation. Internal campaign math targets 700 emails/month, 28 positive replies, 18 sales calls, 8 qualified opportunities, 4 budgetary proposals, and 1 purchase order every two months.
Success Metrics
We will measure success by qualified conversations, not just activity volume. The weekly scoreboard should include:
Conveyor emails sent
Palletizer emails sent
Positive replies
Sales calls booked
Qualified conveyor quote opportunities
Qualified palletizer opportunities
Budgetary proposal opportunities
Serious projects identified
Next steps scheduled
Our target rhythm is roughly 200 conveyor emails per week, 175 palletizer emails per week, 11–12 total sales calls per week, 3–4 conveyor quote opportunities per week, and 1 palletizer proposal opportunity per week.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal freelancer has experience with B2B industrial, manufacturing, automation, equipment, material handling, robotics, packaging, or capital equipment sales.
You should be comfortable with:
Cold email prospecting
LinkedIn prospecting
Lead list building
CRM tracking
Technical or industrial sales conversations
Qualifying operational pain
Booking meetings with plant-level decision makers
Writing clear, concise outreach messages
Following a disciplined weekly process
Experience selling into manufacturing plants is strongly preferred.
Deliverables
For the initial 30–90 day engagement, we would like the freelancer to deliver:
A cleaned and segmented target prospect list
Messaging for conveyor outreach
Messaging for palletizer outreach
Weekly outbound campaigns
Weekly reporting on activity and results
Qualified sales meetings booked
Clear notes on each interested prospect
Recommendations for improving targeting and messaging
Engagement Type
This can start as a part-time freelance project with the potential to grow if results are strong. We are open to hourly, fixed monthly retainer, or a hybrid structure with performance incentives for qualified meetings or opportunities.
To Apply
Please share:
Your experience with outbound B2B sales or SDR work
Any experience selling into manufacturing, industrial, automation, robotics, packaging, or material handling markets
Your preferred prospecting tools and workflow
Examples of campaigns you have run
How you would approach the first 30 days of this project
We are looking for someone who can help us build a repeatable pipeline, not just send emails. The goal is to create qualified conversations that turn into quotes, proposals, serious projects, and purchase orders.
