Beginner-Focused LLM Course Creation
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I am developing a comprehensive entry-level course that introduces large language models from the ground up and need an experienced LLM trainer to design the learning experience for me.
Scope
• Cover three pillars—model architecture and design, training and optimisation techniques, and real-world applications and case studies—explained in clear, jargon-free language suitable for absolute beginners.
• Present the material primarily through interactive exercises: think hands-on notebooks, guided coding tasks, short scenario-based quizzes and practical mini-projects that reinforce each concept immediately after it is taught. Video or written summaries can appear as supplementary material, but the heart of the course must be experiential.
• Structure the journey so a learner with zero background can progress from “What is a transformer?” to “I just fine-tuned a small model on my own dataset” without feeling overwhelmed.
Key Deliverables
1. A detailed syllabus outlining modules, learning objectives and estimated completion times.
2. Interactive content (Jupyter/Colab notebooks, sandbox environments, or comparable tooling) with step-by-step instructions and built-in checks that verify student output.
3. Brief instructor notes and suggested answers for every exercise.
4. A final capstone project prompt that ties architecture, training and application together.
5. Source files packaged and ready for upload to my chosen LMS.
Acceptance Criteria
• All code executes end-to-end on a free-tier GPU/CPU environment.
• Explanations stay at a beginner level—no assumed knowledge beyond basic Python.
• Each exercise includes an automated test or rubric so learners receive instant feedback.
• Content is original and citations are provided for external references.
Mention any relevant tools—PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, Weights & Biases, etc.—you are comfortable using, and include examples of previous curriculum work on similar topics. I look forward to collaborating to make foundational LLM skills accessible to everyone.
