Simple Customer CRM Build

I need a lightweight, web-based CRM centred on customer management rather than full-blown sales automation. The application has to let me:

• Store comprehensive contact information with a fast search.
• Keep an interaction timeline so I can look back at every call, meeting, or chat.
• Segment customers into flexible groups for targeted follow-ups.
• Attach notes and set reminders that surface automatically on the dashboard or calendar view.

Email integration or call logging can wait; the first release just needs clean notes-and-reminders handling so nothing falls through the cracks.

A straightforward interface, responsive design, and the ability to import/export contacts via CSV are important to keep onboarding simple. I’ll host it myself, so please include well-documented source code, a short deployment guide, and any database schema scripts when you deliver. Open to PHP/Laravel, Node/Express, Python/Django—or convince me if another stack suits this scope better.

I’d like to see a working prototype on your test server before hand-off; once we confirm the key features operate smoothly I’ll handle the migration to production.
