Scalable PHP E-Commerce Platform
Budget: $10,000 – $20,000 USD
I am expanding a custom PHP-based e-commerce platform that must handle rapid growth without compromising flexibility. The core focus now is a subscription-driven catalog: only subscription services will be sold, and the system has to bill customers automatically and send renewal reminders on schedule.
Beyond subscriptions, the ordering engine already supports bulk orders, pre-orders, and fully customized product creation; I need these flows polished, documented, and wired into the admin dashboard so merchants can configure them without touching code. Customer- and merchant-role permissions are granular, so any new module must respect the existing RBAC structure.
Code is written in modern PHP (Laravel-style architecture, PSR-12, Composer, PHPUnit) with MySQL, Redis, and Docker for local parity. I will grant repository access, ERDs, and an API spec; you will extend the services layer, create migrations/seeds as needed, and add REST endpoints plus tests.
Deliverables
• Subscription module with automated billing + renewal reminder jobs
• Updated bulk / pre-order / custom-product workflows tied into the UI
• Role-safe controllers, policies, and migrations
• Postman (or similar) collection and concise README
Acceptance is complete when the test suite is green, CI passes in GitHub Actions, and the demo container spins up with all new features operational.
