Physical Goods Inventory Software Build

I need a straightforward inventory system built specifically for physical goods. The core of the project is a clean, reliable interface that lets staff create manual entries for every stock movement—receipts, transfers, adjustments, and dispatches—without relying on scanners or third-party devices.

Accurate stock level reporting is essential. I want to generate on-demand reports that show current quantities, reorder points, and simple valuation figures so I always know what is on the shelf and what needs attention. If the database structure is designed with future growth in mind, we can later bolt on features like barcode scanning or automated reordering, but they are not part of the initial scope.

I am open to the tech stack; a web-based solution using PHP/Laravel, Python/Django, or Node.js with a MySQL or PostgreSQL backend would work as long as it is well-documented and easy to maintain.
