PHP E-commerce Platform Development -- 2
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I have an E-commerce platform to build from the ground up in PHP and MySQL. The exact back-end framework is still open, so you are free to recommend either Laravel or CodeIgniter as long as the choice supports clean architecture, quick iteration, and future scaling.
On the front end I want responsive pages created with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap so the storefront looks modern on every device. A full REST API will be needed for catalogue, cart, checkout, and user features because the site will later feed a mobile app and possibly external sales channels.
Good database design is critical: tables, indexes, and relationships must be planned for fast product searches, large order volumes, and reliable stock handling. I also expect thoughtful performance tuning and thorough debugging throughout the build. All work will be version-controlled in Git so I can review commits and manage releases easily.
Deliverables
• Production-ready source code in the chosen framework
• MySQL schema with seed data and optimisation notes
• Documented REST endpoints (URL, method, sample request/response)
• Brief deployment guide covering server requirements and environment variables
If this fits your experience, tell me which framework you would pick and why, along with a rough outline of the development milestones you foresee.
