PHP E-Commerce Site Development

I’m building a new website and want it developed entirely in PHP with a strong e-commerce core. The site must give visitors a smooth shopping cart experience and let them pay securely through an integrated gateway such as Stripe, PayPal, or another solution you recommend.

You’ll architect the cart logic, create all checkout pages, handle secure transaction hand-off, and make sure completed orders trigger confirmation e-mails and appear in a simple admin panel where I can view, update, or refund them. Front-end HTML/CSS is already sketched out, so you can either integrate with those files or propose a fresher responsive layout—whichever is faster for you while keeping performance tight.

Clean, well-commented PHP (plain PHP, Laravel, CodeIgniter, or a framework you like) and MySQL are preferred; JavaScript can be added for dynamic cart updates. Security, input validation, and PCI-compliant handling of payment data are non-negotiable.

Deliverables
• Complete PHP codebase with working shopping cart
• Payment gateway fully configured and tested in sandbox and live modes
• Lightweight admin dashboard for product, order, and refund management
• Install/upgrade instructions and brief developer-level documentation

Acceptance criteria
When I can add products, place a test order end-to-end, receive confirmation e-mails, and see the order in the dashboard without errors, the milestone is met. I’m ready to start as soon as you can outline your preferred approach and timeline.
