Laravel & Next.js E-commerce Upgrades

Job ID: 40260569

Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR

I run an online store powered by a Laravel API and a Next.js storefront, and the very first area that needs attention is the site’s menu. The current navigation is clunky on mobile, awkward on desktop, and tough to maintain. I want it rebuilt so it pulls live category data from Laravel, renders instantly in Next.js, and meets modern accessibility standards.

Scope for this first milestone
• Create a responsive mega-menu/accordion that sources its data from the existing endpoints—or from a new REST route you add in Laravel if that proves cleaner.
• Keep it SEO-friendly by maintaining server-side rendering where appropriate and avoiding any layout shift when the menu opens.
• Ensure keyboard navigation, ARIA labels, and focus management are fully in place.
• Style with our existing Tailwind utility classes so the new component blends seamlessly with the rest of the site.
• Commit code to our private GitHub repo with unit tests for both the API addition and the React component, plus a brief README.

Acceptance criteria
• Mobile Lighthouse performance score for menu interactions ≥ 90.
• No cumulative layout shift when the menu toggles.
• Tests pass in CI on each pull request.

After this menu revamp is live, I’ll roll out further tasks for the homepage, product pages, and checkout, but right now I want to keep the brief focused so we can move quickly. Let me know about similar Laravel/React work you’ve completed, the approach you’d take, and a realistic turnaround time. Access to the repo will be granted once we agree on the milestone deliverables.

Excited to see what you can bring to the table!
