Laravel-Based Personalized Book System Development
For our existing Laravel-based educational platform, we are planning to develop a system that analyzes users' knowledge levels and automatically generates personalized question books tailored to their individual needs.
Our platform already allows users to create memberships, solve questions, and purchase physical products. The new module will analyze users' topic-based performance and generate personalized question books focusing on the areas where they need improvement.
Project Scope
The system will be developed as an integrated module within our existing Laravel infrastructure and admin panel.
First, a manageable curriculum structure will be created through the admin panel. The curriculum only needs to be organized in a specific order under a category. Question pools can be assigned to each topic, and questions will be categorized according to difficulty levels (easy, medium, and hard).
Users will enter a diagnostic assessment process based on a customized curriculum generated for them. For each topic, users will answer questions at easy, medium, and hard difficulty levels. Since users are not expected to complete all questions in a single session, they must be able to continue from where they left off at any time.
After the assessment process is completed, the system will analyze the user's answers and generate a topic-based correct/incorrect performance map. Based on this analysis, the user's strengths and weaknesses will be identified.
According to the generated performance analysis, the system will automatically create a personalized question pool. More questions will be selected from topics where the user has a lower success rate, while fewer questions will be selected from topics where the user performs well.
In addition, for weaker subjects, the generated content should follow a progressive structure that starts with basic-level questions and gradually advances to medium and hard difficulty levels. For stronger subjects, fewer but more challenging questions may be selected.
For example, if a user achieves a 40% success rate in "Problem Solving," the system should include a larger number of questions from that topic, progressing from easy to difficult levels. If the same user achieves a 90% success rate in "Sets," fewer but higher-quality (more difficult) questions should be included. This logic may be further refined or modified in collaboration with the selected developer.
PDF Book Generation
The personalized question pool will then be automatically converted into a book-format PDF.
The generated PDF must be suitable for professional printing and typesetting. The book should include:
Cover page
User information and performance analysis
Topic-based question groups
Print-ready page layouts
Appropriate formatting for publishing and production workflows
The generated PDF file should be stored within the system, viewable through the admin panel, and downloadable when needed.
The ultimate goal is to provide this PDF to a printing/typesetting team so that a personalized physical book can be produced for each user.
Bulk Question Import System
The platform must support bulk question uploads into curriculum-based topic pools and quiz/exam structures.
We currently use a question-generation system that exports questions in a predefined data format. Detailed specifications of this format will be provided to the selected developer at the beginning of the project.
The new system is expected to support bulk question imports using this format, enabling thousands of questions to be imported without manual data entry and automatically associated with the relevant subjects, topics, and difficulty levels.
The import process should include:
Bulk data upload support
Error reporting and validation mechanisms
Automatic mapping to curriculum structures
Re-import and update capabilities when required
Technical Requirements
Development fully compatible with Laravel architecture
Seamless integration with the existing admin panel
Modular and maintainable codebase
Topic-based performance analysis system
Performance-driven question selection algorithm
PDF book generation infrastructure
Bulk question import system
Documentation and usage support
Expected Deliverables
Curriculum management system
Topic and question pool management
Bulk question upload/import system
Diagnostic assessment system
User performance analysis system
Personalized question pool generation algorithm
PDF book generation module
Admin panel integration
Notes
User management, membership system, and the existing platform infrastructure are already in place.
The data format used by the question-generation system will be provided at project kickoff.
Code quality, maintainability, scalability, and performance will be important evaluation criteria.
