Freelance Mentor Needed (TypeScript, Node.js, Laravel, RoR) – Real Projects, Long-Term
Budget: $2 – $8 USD
I’m currently on a journey to become a part-time freelancer, and I’m looking for a mentor or consultant who can support me through real-world project experiences. The goal is to simulate or actually work on projects (e.g., those found on Upwork or similar platforms) and code them myself under your guidance.

What We’ll Do:
Either I, you, or both of us will find real-life freelance projects, and I’ll work through them as if they are real contracts.
You will consult and support me when I’m stuck, confused, or need direction. Think of it as live mentoring.
We’ll communicate via video consulting (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.) during the time slots below.
If I get stuck badly, we’ll take a step back and fill knowledge gaps — but with a clear, time-bound milestone so things don’t drag out.
If necessary, I may bring in another mentor. Don’t feel pressured — no burnout here. This is a long-term collaboration, and I value your consistency over full availability.
Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 13:00–16:00 JST and Saturday & Sunday, 09:00–12:00 JST.
Please note: I am only available during these hours. I cannot work or accept assignments outside this time frame. No homework, no late-night tasks — we’ll do everything during our sessions.
Working Hours (JST):
Mon to Fri: 13:00 – 16:00
Sat & Sun: 09:00 – 12:00
Working Style:
Sometimes I will be coding solo. You’ll give me goals or time blocks to focus.
We will regroup and discuss afterwards.
If I'm stuck again, we’ll revisit — but we'll aim to make a decision and move forward rather than going in endless loops.
If I need to re-learn something, I’ll pause the project, study, and come back — but with set deadlines to stay productive.
Milestones & Communication:
We’ll set weekly or monthly goals (milestones).
If I don’t meet the milestone, we’ll adjust or reschedule — no problem.
But if milestones aren’t updated and there’s silence from both sides, that’s a red flag. It’s okay to say goodbye if communication completely breaks down.
After I Become a Freelancer:
Even after I start landing freelance jobs, I want to keep you on as a mentor. However, the hours will be reduced and more flexible — but I’ll still value your input.
