Build Standalone Showcase or leaderboard Microservice with Voting, Moderation, and Admin Panel
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Overview:
I am looking for a developer to build a standalone Showcase microservice for my platform. The module should support project submissions, user voting, automatic cycle-based rankings, content moderation using OpenAI, an admin panel for control, and a front-end ad placement block. It must be clean, lightweight, and responsive on both desktop and mobile devices.
You will not receive access to my main Laravel/Angular/Java platform. This module must be deployed separately and connected via API. I will provide server access, OpenAI API key, and my brand color scheme.
What the Module Should Include:
1. Public-Facing Frontend
• Project submission form with:
o Project name, tagline (60 characters max), URL
o Uploads: logo (500x500px, 15MB), up to 6-8 cover images, optional video
o Collaborators (text or tags), tech stack tags, project category, long description, fields to list features, field to list benefits
o Optional project completion percentage tracker
• Voting system:
o One vote per user per project or cycle
o Vote count visible
o Leaderboard sorted by popularity with top 3 rankings
o New cycle begins every 14 days
• Voting cycle:
o Countdown timer
o Automatic cycle close and winner selection
o Historical cycle records stored and viewable
• Sponsored ad slot:
o Dedicated area on leaderboard or sidebar for a static banner or embedded featured content
o Configured and managed from admin panel
o Should not interfere with vote logic
• UI/UX expectations:
o Clean, minimalistic, responsive layout that works across mobile and desktop
o Designed by you based on my branding colors
o Use Bootstrap, Tailwind, or Material (or similar) to keep it light and fast
2. OpenAI Moderation Integration
• Use OpenAI Moderation API to scan project name, tagline, and description
• Automatically flag inappropriate content (hate, violence, adult, spam, political)
• Hold flagged content for admin review
• Display moderation logs in admin panel
• Allow threshold adjustment
3. Admin Dashboard
• Secure login
• View all projects and submissions
• Review flagged projects and approve, reject, or edit
• Control the ad slot content
• Force cycle close and assign winners
• Filter or search by user, project, tag
• Fully usable on both mobile and desktop browsers
4. API Endpoints
• POST /projects: Submit new project (OpenAI moderation triggered)
• GET /projects?user_id=xxx: List all user projects
• POST /votes: Cast a vote
• GET /leaderboard: Ranked project list
• GET /timer: Get remaining time in voting cycle
• POST /cycle/close: Manually end voting cycle and assign winners
• GET /winners: List historical winners
• GET /ad-slot: Fetch current ad slot content
• POST /admin/ad-slot: Update ad slot from admin
• GET /admin/projects: View/manage projects in admin
• GET /admin/moderation-logs: View OpenAI moderation flags
• Include if any missing.
Tech Stack Preferences:
• Backend: Laravel preferred, Node.js acceptable
• Frontend: Blade, Vue, or React with responsive design framework
• Database: MySQL or PostgreSQL
• File Storage: Local folder or S3-compatible
• Authentication: Token-based or IP-based
• OpenAI: Moderation API
Deliverables:
• Fully deployed Showcase microservice
• Public UI (submission, leaderboard, ad slot, timer)
• Admin panel with moderation tools
• API documentation (Postman or Swagger)
• SQL schema or database dump
• Cycle scheduler (via cron job or queue)
• Fully responsive and mobile-compatible design
• All branding applied as per color codes provided
Timeline:
Preferred delivery within 7 to 10 days
Note:
All code is visible in the source folder (no obfuscated/hidden scripts)
All external requests are documented
File uploads are validated (no executable files)
Only the documented endpoints exist
To Apply:
Please send the following:
1. Your preferred tech stack (backend and frontend)
2. Relevant experience with voting systems, modular APIs, admin panels, or OpenAI moderation
3. Sample projects, especially those with responsive UI
4. Timeline and cost confirmation
5. Confirmation that you can design the interface using my brand colors and ensure full mobile/desktop compatibility
