Backend & Web Application Developer Needed

QUATA DIGITAL is seeking a skilled Backend & Web Application Developer to join our
growing team. You will be responsible for customizing, extending, and integrating new features
into our existing and upcoming digital platforms. While we already have a dedicated frontend
developer, we need someone who can take ownership of backend systems, APIs, and web
application logic. You will work on diverse projects across fintech, real estate, food delivery, and
e-commerce applications, ensuring that our platforms remain secure, scalable, and user-friendly.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, customize, and integrate backend features and web applications according to provided
requirements.
Design, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs and database schemas to support mobile and web
platforms.
Ensure secure and scalable solutions for payment processing, authentication, and data
management.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing codebases for performance and reliability.
Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, notification systems, and cloud storage.
Collaborate with frontend developers (Flutter/React) to ensure seamless API integration and
feature delivery.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
Participate in planning sessions, contribute ideas for technical improvements, and provide effort
estimates.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of MySQL/PostgreSQL database design and optimization.
Experience in developing and maintaining secure APIs.
Knowledge of authentication flows (JWT, OAuth, Firebase, etc.).
Hands-on experience with payment gateway integrations (Stripe, Razorpay, Flutterwave, Mobile
Money, etc.).
Familiarity with Firebase services (Auth, Push Notifications, Realtime DB, Firestore).
Good knowledge of Git version control and modern deployment workflows.
PHP: Strong knowledge of the PHP programming language.
Laravel Framework: Expertise in the Laravel framework, including its core concepts like:
Eloquent ORM: For database interactions.
Blade Templating Engine: For views (relevant for the web version).
Artisan CLI: For command-line tasks and project management.
Routing, Controllers, and Middleware: For handling API requests and application logic.
Authentication and Authorization: For managing user roles and permissions.
API Development: Creating and managing RESTful APIs to communicate with the mobile apps.
Database: Experience with MySQL for database setup, migrations, and queries.
HTML, CSS, and JavaScript: The fundamental building blocks of web development. CSS
Frameworks: Experience with frameworks like Bootstrap for responsive and consistent design.
Laravel Blade: The templating engine for rendering the front-end views. jQuery or other JS
libraries: For front-end interactivity.
Preferred / Nice to Have
Exposure to Python (scripting, automation, or microservices).
Familiarity with ReactJS or Flutter frontend integration (bonus if able to assist occasionally).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean).
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and containerization.
Familiarity with caching systems (Redis/Memcached) and scalable architectures.
