Spanish to English Document Translation
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have a collection of general Spanish-language documents—well over 5,000 words in total—that need to be rendered into natural, idiomatic English. Everything must be done manually; I am explicitly avoiding any machine-generated output because tone and nuance matter to me.
The files are plain text and a few Word documents. I will share them as soon as we start so you can confirm the final word count and flag any sections that might require extra context. Consistency of terminology and faithful preservation of basic formatting are important.
Deliverables
• Complete English translations returned in the same file structure and formats provided (mostly .docx)
• A short terminology sheet for any recurring expressions or tricky phrases you encounter
• One revision round after my review to polish style or clarify meaning if needed
Acceptance criteria
The target text must read as if it were originally written in English—no literal calques, no awkward syntax—and all meaning from the source must be intact. Spelling and grammar should align with standard US English usage unless a different variant is agreed upon beforehand.
