About the Role
We're seeking experienced language tutors to participate in recorded tutoring sessions with adult learners. These sessions will capture natural tutoring conversations across different languages and learning levels.
Session audio will be recorded and used for AI training purposes. Participants will receive additional information about the project and be asked to provide explicit consent before participating.
This is a one-time paid opportunity, though strong participants may be invited to future paid projects as similar opportunities become available.
What You'll Do
- Conduct a 30-minute live language tutoring session with an adult learner
- Help learners practice speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, or conversation skills
- Create a natural and engaging tutoring experience
- Participate in a live video call in which the audio will be recorded
Languages We're Seeking
Tutors must be able to teach at least one of the following:
- English
- Spanish
- French
- Japanese
- German
- Mandarin Chinese
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Previous experience as a language tutor, teacher, instructor, or language coach
- Fluent in English and the language being taught
- Comfortable participating in a recorded session
- Willing to provide explicit consent for participation and audio recording
- Reliable internet connection
- Quiet recording environment with minimal background noise or echo
- Headphones required
- Apple device preferred
Compensation
- $50 USD for a completed 30-minute tutoring session
- Learners participating in the session will also receive $20 USD
Additional Information
- Participants will be matched with an adult learner
- Bringing your own learner is welcome but not required. It will increase chances of you getting this role though.
- Session audio will be used for AI training purposes
- Participants will receive full details about the recording process before providing consent
- This is currently a one-time project, though future opportunities may become available for strong participants
