I have a handful of short picture-book stories (each only a few hundred words) aimed at children aged 4-7. They are written in simple English with an educational and informative tone, and they sprinkle in several cultural references and mild idioms that make them memorable. I need each story rendered into clear, age-appropriate Spanish that keeps the teaching flavour while swapping in equivalent Spanish-speaking cultural touchstones wherever an English-specific reference appears.
Please keep sentences concise for early readers, preserve any wordplay when possible, and flag any passages that may need illustrator notes adjusted for the new language. Final text can be returned in an editable doc or Google Doc, one file per story.
Acceptance checklist:
• Spanish reads naturally to a 4-7-year-old
• Educational intent remains obvious without sounding like a lesson
• English-language idioms replaced with culturally relevant Spanish equivalents, footnoted only if absolutely necessary
• No machine-translation artefacts; smooth human flow
