Rear garden, needs to be dog proof
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 AUD
Please note I current have Covid and need to isolate until Sunday, I can take calls but recommend no one visits the property until at least Sunday 22nd May.
Hi, we have lived in blackburn for 15 years and loved the heavily tree’d gardens, however the lack of sunlight coupled with a very active dog has turned the lower lawn of roughly 270m into a mud pit.
We are looking at options to enjoy the space but not have a filthy dog to deal with every day. We would rather not gate it off also
Some things we are keen to do include
- Screen the neighbours overlooking windows
- Install an existing fire pit and seating
- have some hard areas, stone or pavers, not concrete
- retain some open lawn for future families when we sell
- maybe some garden beds
Our primary requirements are to have it dog friendly as stated above, have it visually appealing from the house and upper garden, have it low maintenance and to partially screen from neighbours windows
I also need to advise that we have 3 overlays on the property
1- land subject to inundation
2- landscape protection
3- significant landscape
We live in Whitehorse council district if this is important.
It’s also worth noting that I am currently clearing the area so to open up and give options, and that we back onto a council parkland
