Project Description: Agricultural, Landscape & Architectural Master Planning
We are seeking an experienced Landscape / Agricultural Designer and Architect, or a multidisciplinary design firm, to develop a complete master plan for a private agricultural and residential estate.
Location
Hail City, north-central Saudi Arabia
Semi-arid climate with hot summers and relatively cold winters
Limited water availability, requiring efficient and sustainable design solutions
Land Information
Total Area: 50,000 sqm
Current Condition: Flat and leveled
Frontage:
Western main road frontage: 200 meters
Plot depth: 250 meters
Access:
Main entrance from the west (public road)
Secondary private eastern access (family use only)
Conceptual Land Zoning & Layout
1. Residential Area (Owner Accommodation)
Located behind the western frontage, not directly exposed to the road
Separated by a landscape buffer of trees for privacy, dust, and noise control
Overlooking green areas and/or the artificial lake
Includes private outdoor seating areas
2. Guest Reception & Hospitality Area
Positioned close to the western entrance
Semi-independent from the residential area
Designed to host guests without accessing the deeper agricultural zones
Connected visually and physically to landscaped areas

Located near the center of the land or in a designated low-elevation zone

Natural-looking edges, shallow depth, and evaporation-reduction considerations

Introduction of gentle elevations and depressions to break land flatness
Height variations ranging approximately 30–80 cm

Contouring to assist water flow toward planted zones and lake areas

Grass to be planted only in selected zones, not across the entire land

Irrigation Network Design Requirements
Design a complete and efficient irrigation network connected to the existing tank
Irrigation system to be zoned and optimized according to land use:
Agricultural tree zones
Grass (turf) areas
Landscape and shade tree areas
Priority to low-water-consumption irrigation methods, such as:
Drip irrigation for trees and agricultural zones
Controlled irrigation for grass areas
System design must consider:
Limited water availability
Pressure management from the elevated tank
Ease of maintenance and future expansion
Water Management Strategy
Smart water distribution based on:
Plant type
Soil condition
Sun exposure
Minimize water loss through:
Efficient pipe routing
Proper zoning
Evaporation-aware scheduling
Integration with the artificial lake and landscape contours where applicable
